ABOUT DIRT CHEAP

title underline

As a recent Kinesiology graduate of the University of Guelph, Jonathan Weiler (owner and proprietor) of DIRT CHEAP knew he was meant for something else: to work outdoors and provide a valuable service for his community. Established in 2006, he opened DIRT CHEAP, after the successful launch of his first company, J.W. Contracting.

As a consumer himself, he examined the landscape industry and decided he wanted to take the ‘backbreaking work’ out of yard work, and to help people fully enjoy their time in the garden. He therefore adapted the concept of the 1 yard tote bag of soil. Jon packages this same quantity into manageable 50lbs bags that are easy to maneuver around the yard and most of all, create no mess. As a courtesy to his customers, Jon even takes these bags and distributes them around the gardens where needed.

Jon is proud of his products and services, and would like to thank his family, friends, and the local community for their continued support. DIRT CHEAP has evolved from a modest bag and shovel process to an innovative bagging system, due to a steadily growing demand. We are happy to announce that this year we have expanded our product line and services to meet our customers’ needs.
